On behalf of the UBC Early Childhood Education Program and the Institute for Early Childhood Education and Research, we extend a warm welcome to all participants of SPARK: The Early Years Conference.
SPARK was conceived and developed by a dedicated team of UBC graduate students, and it has been their intention from the outset to bring together people interested and invested in the field of early childhood. Your presence at and participation in this conference will be the culmination of their vision and hard work, and we will be delighted to welcome once again conference participants representing a wide range of professional and educational backgrounds from across Canada and beyond.
We’re very excited also to welcome the keynote presenter, Professor Veronica Pacini-Ketchabaw, from the Faculty of Education at Western University in Ontario, Canada. We are sure you’ll find her ideas stimulating and thought-provoking, and we suspect they may cause you to “listen to children” in new ways.
