According to the article ” Alberta, BC. Pipeline deal gives Northern Gateway new push:Enbridge CEO”, I find that BC and Alberta have already reached the agreement of the framework on Oli pipeline which is from Bruderheim to Kitimat. For me, this outcome is totally unacceptable. As we know, once the pipeline is in service, the most of the oil from Alberta will be sent to Asia and any other countries expect Canada ourselves. First, the project is driven by the benefits of companies outside Canada. Therefore, our oil will not benefit us to much. Canadians deserve the oil. Second, the opportunity cost of damaging the environment is way too high, compared to the tiny interest we get from pipeline. Due to the fact that lots of oil have been bought by foreign companies with underprice, the only thing they concern will be the benefit of the oil, but not our environment because the beautify forests in BC are not their homeland. The environment belongs to we Canadians and thus, we will never allow others making money by damage our home.
