_____ Skills of the routine – 10 points

9-10 points – Students incorporate at least 16 separate skills in their routine.  Variety and include elements learned throughout the unit (balance/stability, non-locomotor, locomotor, manipulation).                                                                                                             7-8 points – 12 or more skills are incorporated in the routine, moves flow most of the time however some transitions are rough.                                                                                  5-6 points – Less than 10 skills are demonstrate, routine is rough and needs much more practice.                                                                                                                                           0-4 points – Less than 7 skills are demonstrated, and the routine does not have a clear beginning, ending, or cycle.

_____ Presentation to class – 10 points

9-10 points – Presentation is clear and creative and shows the routine has been practiced.  Presentation includes: smooth flow, clean overall look and demonstration of skill, excellent use of space, originality, elements of dance skills and sequences match timely with music, choreography represents tone and mood of music, props and costumes used to enhance the performance, emotion(s) of the dance is clearly expressed                  7-8 points – Presentation is fairly clear, however some group members are lost during parts of the routine.  Lack of variety and at times the presentation lacks flow.  There is good use of space, clean skills and originality.                                                                            5-6 points – At least half of the presentation is choppy and unrehearsed.  There is a lack of skills incorporated into the routine and the overall look and demonstration is poor.          0-4 points – The routine is choppy and unrehearsed with many of the group members unable to move together in unison.

_____ Participation of group members – 10 points

9-10 points – Group members participated and contributed significantly to the final project.                                                                                                                                             7-8 points – Participated and contributed 3/4 of the time.                                                   5-6 points – Participated and contributed to the routine at least half of the time.           0-4 points – Did not contribute to the project.

_____ Sheet explaining the creative dance routine – 10 points

9-10 points – Well written, no grammatical errors.  Routine well explained, visuals used, routine fits music                                                                                                                            7-8 points – Some grammatical errors, sequences/visuals/routine fairly presented          5-6 points – Some grammatical errors, sequences/visuals/routine are difficult to comprehend.                                                                                                                                   0-4 points – Routine sheet has many errors, difficult to understand.
