Videos: The Most Interesting Man in the World

Riff Ram analyzed the series of advertisements, “the most interesting man from the world”, by their advertising techniques, which used exaggeration to catch audiences’ eyes. However, as advertisements, different from firms, their goal is not only attracting audiences but also attracting them to buy the product. I bet the company did really good market research.

The company had specific target customers: men. While, different men have different values, attitudes and lifestyles. All of these psychological factors can affect customers’ decisions.

Customers have a decision journey; these advertisement targeted customers on each step.

Step One: These advertisements are humors to all customers. Even if some people do not have any experience buying beer, they will get humor and will be most likely pick this brand as their first choice.

Step Two: What do men want? Being interesting, being strong, being wealth or being popular among girls? These qualities are all founded on Dos Equis, the most interesting man in the world who is drinking this beer.

Step Three: When consumers who have watched these series of advertisements go to the store and look at all of the different kinds of beers, Dos Equis will stick out as being fun and promote them to buy this beer.

Step Four: “Buying the beer = being the most interesting man in the world” This equation will absolutely bring customers good mood after purchasing the beer.
