BIOC 308 (Pharmacology 1), fall term.  In addition to didactic lectures, this course includes various other activities (PBL exercises, digital poster making, calculation quizzes, independent reading of research articles and guest lectures).

BIOC 407 (The Biochemical Basis of Disease), winter term. This course is built around problem-based learning cases, and is focused on developing employability skills of students. It includes studies of primary research articles, pre-recorded didactic lectures, presentations by guest speakers, and in-class workshops.

BIOL 426, BIOC 309, BIOL 552, BIOL 440, BIOL 452, BIOC 448, BIOC 449 Directed studies and Honours in Biology and Biochemistry. Students are assigned individual projects that may (6 credits) or may not (3 credits) involve laboratory research component.
