Applying Behavioural Lenses and Insights
to New Zealand’s Justice System
Matthew Davies
Behavioural Science Aotearoa
Behavioural Science Aotearoa (BSA), New Zealand’s largest dedicated behavioural science team, will present some of their work in applying BI to the criminal justice system. We will provide an overview of some of our key initiatives to better understand and respond to behavioural barriers in the system, including research on timely case progression, court attendance and compliance.
The UBC-DIBS Behavioural Insights Seminar series features researchers and practitioners sharing their field and lab projects using the behavioural and decision sciences to “nudge for good”. Recordings of past seminars are available on the BI wiki here. To subscribe or unsubscribe, email dibs@sauder.ubc.ca.
