Call for Submissions for BIG Difference BC 2024!
In 2024, our annual BIG Difference BC conference will explore how researchers and practitioners are “Applying Behavioural Insights to Urgent Challenges“.

Do you have a BI project to share?
In keeping with this year’s theme, we invite submissions for lightning talks and micro-presentations about recent projects that use BI to tackle the urgent challenges we face, such as the climate crisis, the housing crisis, the pandemic, and other urgent priorities. We also welcome projects that use BI more broadly to encourage positive behaviour change. We invite submissions from across government, academia, and the public, non-profit, and private sectors in BC, across Canada, and beyond.
Projects can be submitted for presentation as a:
- Lightning Talk: On the virtual main stage, presenters have a maximum of 15 minutes to present and 5 minutes to take questions. For examples, please see previous lightning talks at https://bigdifferencebc.ca/program-2023#lightning-am.
- Micro-Presentation: Using breakout rooms, presenters have a maximum of 5 minutes to present and 5 minutes to take questions. Accepted presentation formats include a single poster-style slide, 2-3 slides, or another format that will work on Zoom. For examples, please see previous micro-presentations at https://bigdifferencebc.ca/program-2023#micro.
Submissions are due by 11:59pm on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
