An Overview of the OECD’s Good Practice Principles
for Mainstreaming Behavioural Public Policy
Haris Khan
OECD
The LOGIC Good Practice Principles on Mainstreaming Behavioural Public Policy are a distillation of the collective knowledge of the behavioural science community in governments around the world. The principles, along with the country examples and case studies that support them, illustrate the kinds of strategies and behaviours that public sector organisations have found to be effective in making behavioural science an integral part of the policy making process. This presentation will provide a data-driven overview of the current state of behavioural public policy around the globe before discussing the good practice principles with illustrative real-world examples.
The UBC-DIBS Behavioural Insights Seminar series features researchers and practitioners sharing their field and lab projects using the behavioural and decision sciences to “nudge for good”. Recordings of past seminars are available on the BI wiki here. To subscribe or unsubscribe, email dibs@sauder.ubc.ca.
