Applying BI to Urgent Challenges
As in previous years, BIG Difference BC has a free, online, and outstanding program celebrating using the behavioural and decision sciences to tackle priority challenges across topics and sectors in BC and beyond. This year’s highlights include:
- Keynote address on “Nudging Climate Action & Happiness” by Jiaying Zhao, University of British Columbia
- Special session on “Responding to the Climate Crisis” with a panel discussion about opportunities and challenges for using BI to tackle different climate-related challenges, including:
- Planetary healthcare – Andrea MacNeill, Vancouver General Hospital
- Area-based conservation – Don Carruthers Den Hoed, University of British Columbia
- Disaster preparedness and response – Naureen Naqvi, UNICEF
