About me

Welcome! My name is Benjamin Cheung, and I am a non-tenure track lecturer, and the Indigenous Initiatives Coordinator in the Department of Psychology and the Asian Canadian and Asian Migration program at the University of British Columbia, located on traditional, ancestral, and unceded xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) territory.

I am a settler from Hong Kong, a 1.5 generation Hong Kong Canadian who sometimes gets confused when switching between speaking English/Cantonese/Mandarin. Between my fondness for dimsum and my penchant for hockey, my interests and behaviours are every bit as culturally confused mixed as my cultural identity.

*Note: I cannot supervise students for graduate studies. If you are interested in joining our department for graduate studies, I encourage you to take a look at the amazing array of other faculty members in our department here!
