If there are the same number of seats on the small and large plane, they might as well save money on gas and the price of the airplane.

Maintence cost – Bigger plane is sophiscated, higher skill require to maintain the plane, hence cost.
Advancement = higher cost for parts -

The cost of bigger planes are expensive than the smaller ones and smaller ones probably are more environmental friendly.

When travelling shorter distances (ie.2 hrs), the extra $ of more leg room may not be worth it (ppl like to save money)

As a manager you would have to consider if the cost of the bigger plane would justify the additional costs for customers.
-

Bigger planes may use more fuel and cost more, making prices higher. Thus customers have to pay more and demand might fall.

Larger plane for the same amount of seats = higher price per seat since cost of gas per mile increases.

Choosing bigger planes may mean higher maintenance costs, fuel costs, environmental damage, and costs have to be passed on to the customers.

Consumers won’t pay much more money for a same flight to accommodate for the extra costs that producing a bigger plane have.

Because the bigger the plane, the more costs are included eg. fuel & maintenance. Therefore, tickets could be more expensive.

Bigger planes are costly to produce. Less customers would be willing to pay more $ for leg space.

bigger planes equals more costs, but not necessarily more customers to fill the seats because it’s a more expensive plane ticket

bigger planes are more expensive/less fuel efficient? Also less efficient when it’s not filled up with passengers, need more crew members

Bigger planes = Heavier –> Weight.–> but passenger demand wouldn’t flucate too much.
= More labour cost due to more flight attendance. -

Costs of fueling bigger planes is much greater than fueling the smaller ones. Also there’s usually enough space on the current planes.
-
Nicholas Everett
Easier to fill small plane = max seating. Smaller plane = lower cost/flight than bigger plane.Max seating + lower costs = efficient profits.
-
Riley Guttman
It’s inefficient. You won’t fill up a big plane on every flight route, so you’re wasting costs on a plane too big for your job.
-
ziluezheng
given that the number of customers stay the same, the bigger the plan the higher the cost. this lowers the profit of the company

Also, it is more cost effective to fly a greater number of mid-sized planes to a variety of locations, rather than to fly few big planes
