This song is one of my favorites of the entire summer. I sang this song while I was on the trail in Algonquin Park in August. It popped up in my head especially when I was walking through swamp water up to my knees and I would come out covered in mud. It reminded me of Jenny Wilson (in the video above) and her white moon boots or what could be sneakers from the 90s… hard to tell but, I like the sound of moon boots. Super cool moon boots, Jenny. Her song, “Like a fading rainbow” is my choice for the day.

Third and final post on CTV.ca
Here is my final post for Vancouver We Day 2009 on CTV.ca. Did anyone watch the live webcast of Toronto We Day today? THE JONAS BROTHERS ARE INVOLVED WITH FREE THE CHILDREN? When did this happen?! Crazy business I tell ya’. I didn’t expect that one.
My life at UBC captured with the camera on my BlackBerry
Meet Harold, my freakin’ awesome venus fly trap. I didn’t even know you could own one of those as a house plant until I went to the Botanical Garden Indoor Plant Sale. He’s just chillin’ next to Marty, my other house plant and then Francis is a bunch of pink flowers that chill on my desk. I was told naming them will help them stay alive since my mother and I can’t even over water bamboo.
It was 1am. I was hungry. I convinced Sebastien to go to the village to grab some food with me. Turns out it it started to rain cats and dogs, so everyone from the frats decided it was a good idea to join us for food too. This is the only table that was free for us to eat at. Note the pickle on the wall. Straight up class.
Studying for one of my many French tests in IKBLC. I’ve been eating the grapes from the Totem Dining Hall for the last 3 weeks straight. It’s one of the only things I’ll go for. Now I’ve been adding honeydew melon into the mix. Not much else to eat when the pancakes are rock solid and I want to stay healthy.
Mr. Jason Mraz playing to me in a crowd of only 100 at GM Place the night before We Day 2009. Freaking awesome. He’s such a chill guy.
Totem food once again. It’s happy to be a shepherds pie.
COLOUR WARS.
Colour Wars is the one day where all of the houses in Totem come together to battle it out in tacky house colour themed outfits and face paint to determine which house wins the house cup. Nootka, ohhhhhh yeahhhhhhh, came in third and as you can tell from my photos, we’re really good at sporting our gold/yellow. I personally enjoyed waking up early on a Saturday to pots and pans banging in the hallway, my RA in a tight gold skirt, crushing other houses at tug-a-war and still not being able to throw a dodge ball. It’s all that upper body strength that I’m missing. All and all, it was a fun time showing my house spirit and I know that “at least I’m not Dene.”

Music Monday
A few nights ago, someone came by my room and put some of their music into my iTunes Library. I’m enjoying all of their sweet tunes and it’s really relaxing. This song in particular keeps popping up when I put my library on shuffle and the part about bones always catch my ear. Band: Islands. Song: Don’t call me Whitney, Bobby.
Starbucks offers peanut butter, who knew?
IKBLC, Starbucks Chocolate Chip Banana Coffee Cake, Starbucks peanut butter suggested by Megan, a mess that got all over my yoga pants, I harvested my crops on farmville, and finished my poli sci assignment. Higher learning.

BC gods- If you can hear me…
When I moved to BC, I developed this weird thing where food likes to get stuck in my throat. And it never goes away. It’s so strange. Did I upset the BC gods or something?
Dear BC gods,
I do not like having my Java Chip Frappicino stuck in my throat. Usually water would resolve this issue but my body is a noncooperative. Please give me some other newly developed quality like cracking my knuckles. I’ve never been a fan of that, but I’d trade it up to get rid of the Starbucks in my throat.
Thanks, some girl named Erica.
Well… At least my acne decided to clear up in BC. That’s a plus.
I’M GOING TO STUDY.
Currently: IKBLC. 10pm w/ the girl that I don’t know from the picture on the left side of the page.
Listening to: Play your part pt. 1 by Girl Talk
Mission: Don’t fail. Study until 1am so you can go to the Bro/Sis Floor dinner tomorrow.
Here’s my question: HOW THE HECK DO I KEEP GOOD GRADES IN UNIVERSITY? What’s with all this scaling and how come I have more to read then I have time? How do people survive this and get good grades? Am I going to perish? If I perish then everyone should know that I lived life to its fullest but never had the chance to read Harry Potter.
