When I asked Google “Do technologies simplify our life”, this article came into my sight. This is a reflection by the author Nicholas Carr, which makes me think about how we humans can handle the direction that technologies develop in, or else we are just roaming in the trend of technologies which have been driven by the design ideology of utilitarianism.

Hello, I am an industrial designer. I studied Industrial Design (MS) at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), China, and Kansei Science (Ph.D) at University of Tsukuba, Japan. I have over ten years of experience in teaching Industrial Design at BIT. Before I started teaching, I had also done product design for a product manufacturer and a design company in China.
