Hi, my name is Maria and I currently live in Montréal, Québec. I teach English as a second language to mostly young students from all over the world online. I create my own digital lessons and mainly focus on personalizing and using gamification to deliver fun and effective content. I am also interested in student-led learning and being a facilitator as an educator to assist students in asking the proper questions. I have a BA in English literature and I am eager to move forward and learn more about education in the 21st century.
I am an Armenian living in Canada since 2016. I love nature, experiencing different parts of the world, and learning new languages. My plan for summer 2022 is to explore different camping sites with my partner and learn about mobile and open education while enjoying the sun.
I believe open education is an interesting area to explore. Mobile education is extremely important, especially with digital natives, which is most of my students. I can’t wait to learn more about it alongside an interesting group of individuals. 🙂
