Synthetic media has become an area of social media that I see nearly every day. Whether it be images or audio generated by AI, or longer videos that generate an avatar or impersonate real people. In my LinkedIn feed, AI communication platforms have been consistently pushing advertisements for the past few months. They promote the need to develop media faster to meet the needs of both the educator and the learner, so for this analysis I chose to dive deeper into what synthetic media is, the benefits and risks in education, and how mobile technologies are a catalyst to expand synthetic media virtually every area of our digital lives.
