Clarisse is a secondary teacher in Vancouver, BC. She is passionate in supporting her students in their behavioural, emotional, and academic development and growth. Clarisse has experience teaching Learning Support, ELL, Alternate education and Social Studies. She aims to engage students in the Lower Mainland communities more about local histories, place-based learning, and community-building.

What is important to me?
My priorities in the classroom include the everyday practice of storytelling, compassion, empathy, confidence-building, and relationship-building. In addition to individual and community-based responsibilities, the school's Learning support Services (LSS) team and I do our best to integrate life skills into our curriculum.
