I liked your overview of multimodality. The academic models of multiliteracy show the diversity of literacies used by students in a class or institution, and also, therefore, the diversity of literacies used by educational designers and teachers. The mandala was something I hadn’t seen before; that added a new framework. I liked the diagram of the ‘networked teacher’ too, because it demonstrates how skilled and adaptable a teacher has to be, together with the amount of work required by a teacher to support and develop students to learn and use multiple literacies.
