Rip-Mix-Feed Cloud Learning Tools
For my Rip Mix Feed project I worked around the idea of Cloud Based learning/creation/collaboration software. Essentially I first started by looking into word processing, literacy, and collaboration. I then moved towards not just including word processors but the productivity suites that were Cloud hosted and included additional online collaboration tools. I then expanded to include other text focused tools such as social media, dedicated presentation tools, and online video creation.
I wanted to make a compilation of the ones I have experience with to share with others, and ones I wanted to look more into. I decided to use Popplet which is also an online cloud based mapping program to map out these different tools. I then located videos online regarding each product/tool I was listing. These videos are product highlight videos from the corresponding company, a demonstration of how they can be used in education, or their basic functionality.
A nice feature is I was able to include videos directly on the main Popplet page I created so that the videos can be viewed embedded directly without leaving the page. Hope this Rip Mix Feed is useful for someone!

I enjoyed your cloud. It’s amazing how clouds or mind maps can help you to branch off and explore ideas that at first you didn’t think were part of your original thought process. The integration of video is useful and I can see this software being something that could be used by students.
