I FORGOT TO TELL YOU THE GOOD NEWS…

I AM GOING TO TAYLOR SWIFT.

*Cue dance break here*

Maybe they aren’t the bestest seats in the world. BUT WHO CARES ‘CAUSE IT’S GUNNA BE AWESOME.

I definitely was super stressed out trying to buy these tickets.

Here’s what 10am on Tuesday morning sounded like:

  • “Ticketmaster, WHY DO YOU KEEP INCREASING MY WAIT TIME!?”
  • “WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN’T BUY OVER THE PHONE WITHOUT AN AMERICAN EXPRESS CARD?!”
  • “No tickets available?! Don’t make my search so specific?! WHERE ARE ALL THE TICKETS IT’S ONLY 10:05.”
  • “WHO ELSE IS ON AT 10AM EXACTLY ON PRESALE?! AREN’T THESE GIRLS AT SCHOOL?! AREN’T THOSE MOMS AT WORK?!”
  • “Oh my gosh, 1 minute left in waiting time.
  • “I think these are the ones. These are the ones! YES THESE ONES, GO GO GO BUY THEM YOU ONLY HAVE 1:57 MINUTES LEFT ON THIS SCREEN.”

…Looking for tickets from ticketmaster… then successfully getting them… then having a countdown clock while you contemplate the value of the seats vs. their quality.

THAT’S TOO MUCH PRESSURE. IT’S LIKE TRYING TO DIFFUSE A BOMB.

Am I a little spazzy in this post?

Probably.

It’s because my Bio112 final is tomorrow and half my cheat sheet has yet to come to existence.

BUT WOOOOOOO TAYLOR SWIFT TICKETS YAAAAAY

I am beyond excited you guys.

& we’re dancing, dancing, like we’re made of starlight

Fact: I am A HUGE FAN of Taylor Swift.

Don’t judge. Sure, I share the same musical interest as my 12 year old sister and all her friends… BUT IT’S TAYLOR SWIFT, COME ON.

I just wanted to share the happy moment I had when two things happened on Friday. TWO VERY. EXCTING. THINGS.

  1. I  finally purchased the new Taylor Swift album: Red
  2. I found out that Taylor Swift is coming back to Vancouver next June

Sometimes I get really embarrassed about my massive love for Taylor Swift because she tends to be grouped with the artists that are for younger preteen girls. But I was one of those young preteen girls when Taylor Swift was first on the radio. I remember listening to the radio late at night and hearing Teardrops on my Guitar and wondering who sang that song. I forgot every morning to go check but eventually I caught a time when the radio told me.

And so I have absolutely NO shame about my love for her!

I don’t just love Taylor Swift because of her music. Well, yeah, but more in the aspect of lyrics. I am a BIG fan of good song lyrics. It shows me that music is so powerful and it’s just – ehgtikahnatekhnateknhaetlmnamn.

I don’t know how to describe it! Music is just so – It’s a little crazy and hard to explain.

Anyways. I finally got the CD! And I am a HAPPY camper. I know people aren’t really into physical copies of CDs (opting for iTunes digital CD instead) but I am a sucker for souvenirs. Plus I don’t know if you know this, but she likes to hide messages in her song lyric book. So I spent quite the while decoding it. It was good fun.

…OMG I MENTIONED THAT SHE’S COMING TO VANCOUVER ON JUNE 29 RIGHT?!  I’M SPAZZING OUT.

I went to her concert in September 2011, and it was AMAZING. I may not have been super close but – just – no words. The experience was just –

AND NOW I GET TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN OMGAHH

Guys.

If I don’t get tickets, I might actually fall into a pit of depression.

BUT I AM GETTING THOSE TICKETS.

No I didn’t take a handful of free lipstick at the last concert…

PS: The title of this post is a lyric from “Starlight” on the CD
