Sustainability is about the long-term well-being of the planet, people, and other forms of life.Vancouver is known as one of the most sustainable cities in the world and engaging in environmental protection helps secure it’s status of being Sustainable.Apart from environmental protection, climate protection is also one of the important parts of its sustainable strategies .In addition, the city of Vancouver protects the quality of the air, water and land as well as ensuring the environmentally sustainable management of stormwater, hazardous waste disposal and waste entering sewers. In order to build a better city, Vancouver has also been developing ways that reduces the energy emissions, accommodates active and public transportation which ensures a future quality of life. For example,Vancouver has established a transportation plan for the city, which effectively reduces the consumption of gas and energy. Thus, as stated in the philosophical proposition of causality, Vancouvers continued steps forward to a cleaner and well maintained city have earned it the prestigeous title of “Sustainable”.
I consider Hewlett-Packard Company to be entrepreneurial;first,HP has large amount and rapid speed of wealth creation since its net revenue in 2009 was $115 billion, with approximately $40 billion coming from services.Second,it has high entrepreneurial venture risk becuase every decision it makes can cause huge impact to the company. Finally,it has substantial innovation since it produces new products every month. With all the characteristics it exhibits, I conclude that it is entrepreneurial.
Should consumers trust advertising?
A before and after photo of a lady who takes diet pills
Advertising are surrounding our life,we can see advertisment everywhere. Creative advertising always catch people’s eyes and bring positive effect to the sale. Thus, companies use advertising to increase the brand awareness and give customers their product information which is what advertising supposed to do. However, from the before and after photo posted above,do you think that is a ethical advertising? As I mentioned above, advistising is a way for customers to get to know more about a product and then make a wise decision on purchasing it or not. That before and after photo is obviously a photoshop edited photo, I think it is so inappropiate and unethical for a company to use this kind of fake photo to lie the customers. Companies should be responsible to give consummers correct and real information about their products.

People are always so hyped up for the apple company’s new products at the moment that long line are always outside Apple stores and various phone companies. For some reasons, people are so crazy for Apple ‘s products no matter they are good or not.For example, after a few weeks that the iPhone 4 being launched, Apple company admitted that there are some problems of iPhone 4.But from the amount of iphone 4 that Apple company sold,we see that people do not see it as a big deal. What magic make people so crazy for Apple’s products? I think all of its rival want to know this answer too. Lately, there is a rumor saying that the iPhone 5 is going to be launched soon. However, some people say that is just a trick that its rival made in hope of stopping people buying iPhone 4. We all don’t know if there is iPhone 5 or not,but we do know people would all go crazy if they really have it.
The Social Network
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lB95KLmpLR4[/youtube]
This movie is about the founding of the internet social networking website-facebook.As a facebook user,I can say facebook is part of my life.On facebook,we can share information with our friends, play games and meet friends. No doubt,it is very conveinient.Excepting individual use of facebook, it also can be a platform for companies to connect with their targeted markets. With around 500 million users, facebook is obviously a big market. Facebook users are come from differernt countries which give chances to companies to develop their international markets.Through facebook networking, companies are able to increase their brand awareness and facilitate conversations with the customer. Even though facebook is a great platform for companies to promote their products,it doesn’t mean that they are all going to be successful since there are so many people getting tired of endless advertising on the internet. Thus, marketing strategy is needed on facebook if you want to be successful.
High unemployment is acting as a drag on the US economic recovery
The US economy grew at an annualised rate of 1.7% between April and June, up from a previous estimate of 1.6%, the US Commerce Department has said.
Despite the upward revision, it still marks a sharp slowdown from the rate of 3.7% recorded in the previous quarter.
The latest revision of second quarter growth factored in more consumer spending than previously thought.
There are fears about the sluggish pace of the US economy, with the unemployment rate close to 10%.
This news is obviously a good new to American economy, economic depression in US is not only affecting its own economy, but also the canadian economy. Since Canada has a close relationship with US, poor economic situation in US also bring negative effect to Canada. With high unemployment rate in America, many American come to Canada to find jobs which leads to many jobs in Canada are being take away and many Canadian becomes unemployed. As a result,US and Canada are both in a poor economic situation.
