Our project will assess the impacts of the Gordon Neighbourhood House’s Herb Farms on food preparation and consumption habits of its visitors. The report will evaluate how the Gordon Neighborhood House model contributes to the success of the Herb Garden, and will facilitate goals listed in the mandate of community dialogue, social inclusion and inter-cultural learning. Additionally, it will expand on these efforts by developing a toolkit which will enable and support members of GNH and other community partners to develop their own community herb gardens.
Research Question: “How do the specific operations of the Gordon Neighborhood House herb garden model influence its efficacy in altering the food preparations and consumption habits of its visitors, and how can this model be extended to other communities?”
