Registration is now OPEN for the 2021 Western Canadian Dairy Seminar!

Online, March 8 to 12, 2021 is the ‘Virtual. Dairy. Reality’ Western Canadian Dairy Seminar (WCDS). Spread out over 5 days (2-3 hours a day), the virtual (online) version of WCDS 2021 gives you the opportunity to hear about recent research and new technology from speakers presenting on a range of topics, including calf health, nutrition, and reproduction.

There will also be virtual tours of 3 progressive dairy farms across Western Canada, a live student research presentation competition (delegates can vote for their favourite presentation) and, the always popular, producer panel. The virtual trade show area gives you the chance to connect with our industry sponsors as well as discuss the latest dairy-related research in the virtual research poster display section.

Ag & Food Major Career Fair for Students

AgCareers.com and CareersinFood.com have announced the Feed Your Future campaign. This new initiative will support the awareness of career opportunities in the agriculture and food industries through a series of regional virtual events across Canada and the United States.

The Feed Your Future Canadian All Ag & Food Major Virtual Career Fair is specifically for students looking to pursue a summer experience/internship or first full-time career in agriculture and food.  

This event is scheduled for Thursday, January 28, 2021, from 9:00-4:30 Central. Some of the employers in attendance include CLAAS, Cargill, National Bank of Canada, HyLife and more.

Virtual One Health International Summer School -`Hidden figures in the food chain`

From soils to plants, animals and humans – explore health connections along terrestrial food chains in different food production systems. Experience cutting-edge research and connect with leading One Health scientists during virtual lab visits. Team up with peers from all around the world and learn about healthy agroecosystems from an interdisciplinary perspective and together use all of your skills as One Health detectives to find potential solutions to some of the most pressing problems of the future.
