Please help support UBC participate in the Intercollegiate Animal Welfare Judging Competition at Ohio State University this November!
A team of 4 passionate undergraduates are learning how to assess the physical and psychological health of animals on farms, zoos, and in working environments. Through your support, the team will have the opportunity to compete against other schools across North America. This is an exciting way for the team to further their understanding of complex animal welfare issues, improve critical thinking and public speaking skills, and get to meet others interested in the field. To make the trip to Ohio possible, $3000 dollars will need to be raised. Any donations will be greatly appreciated and the team would love to discuss their interests in animal welfare to anyone with interest or questions.
UBC placed 2nd at the competition in 2015, and won the live dairy assessment. UBC hopes to continue this year with similar results!
