North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Teaching Award of Merit – deadline Feb 20, 2017

We are now accepting nomination for the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Teaching Award of Merit. Among the criteria taken into consideration will be sustained teaching excellence, the ability to motivate students and stimulate critical thinking, and development of innovative approaches to teaching methodology and curricula.

UBC LFS faculty members, including lecturers and sessional lecturers, appointed for a minimum of three years in any of the Faculty’s programs are eligible to be nominated for the prize. NACTA Award and Killam Teaching Prize recipients http://www.landfood.ubc.ca/teaching/teaching-awards/ within the last six years may not be nominated.

Nominations are made by a letter of nomination from students, alumni and/or faculty including reasons for nominating this candidate, and one or more examples of her/his excellent teaching practices.

The nomination should be submitted to: Judy Chan at judy.chan@ubc.ca<mailto:judy.chan@ubc.ca by Monday, February 20, at 12 noon.
