City Beet Farm Tour & Compost Tea Workshop with Vancouver Urban Farming Society

Get your springtime soil in shape and explore City Beet Farm’s inspiring urban farm model! Learn about the basics of soil biology, compost tea and DIY bubblers from City Beet Farmer and soil scientist, Elana Evans. The workshop will include a tour of several of City Beet’s urban farm yards, a discussion on the importance of a thriving soil food web, and a demonstration of a compost tea bubbler system.

About City Beet Farm:
City Beet Farm trades veggies for land to grow food and flowers for a 60-member CSA program around Vancouver’s Riley Park neighbourhood. Farmers and best friends Maddy and Elana strive to grow high quality and nutritious foods to feed the community. They love the soil, the sun and the water, and not to mention the people around them.
