List of Volunteer Positions for LSURC 2026:

1. Session Chairs

• Hold up 5 minute, 2 minute, 1 minute, and STOP signs to warn speakers of time left
• Help speaker with any issues
• Prepare one to two questions to ask the presenters during question periods
• Type questions from audience members into the Zoom chat for online speakers

2. Floaters

• Help collect adjudication forms during speaker sessions and poster sessions
• Help presenters during the poster sessions
• Check up on refreshments (making sure area remains clean and organized)

3. Technology

• Make sure microphones, screens, projectors and computers work and are connected
• Test everything out before speaker sessions
• Help speakers with any technical difficulties and ask for UBC IT help if necessary

4. Photography

• Capture the highlights of the event via photos
• Send all photos to LSURC after the event
