Why wait in line when…
How do you fight against a magnate as big as Apple’s iPhone? With every new edition, people spend so much time speculating new features, appearances and overall performance, eager to pay whatever price is set on the newest trend on mobile phones.
And yet we have to consider if Apple’s innovative boom five years ago is enough to keep the brand in its position as number one.

One of the few brands that stands out in the present day is Samsung, with its Galaxy SIII taking the iPhone head on. It’s growing popularity as a trustworthy mobile could have come from the very fact that unlike all other brands, they stopped trying to imitate the innovation within the iPhone, (admittedly avoiding law suits) and worked to make something different. And with the video above, Samsung makes it clear that they are willing to mock their adversaries and “wake up” the consumer to the yearly trend of waiting in line for a phone one inch slimmer than its predecessor.
The decision behind this marketing strategy is risky, seeing as this video could border on comparative advertising. Yet, the release of the new iPhone 5 and its increased criticism might just secure Samsung as a leading brand in mobile phones. Indeed, there was no need to wait outside an Apple store for five hours, because Samsung has produced something different and better. That is the message that resonates again and again within the video, and only time will tell if Apple’s image loses value in the eyes of the consumer.
