Hi, I’m Wentao Li, a graduate student in the Master of Engineering Leadership (MEL) in Clean Energy program at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. With a strong background in clean energy technologies and industrial emissions reduction, I’m passionate about advancing sustainable solutions in the energy sector.
Before joining UBC, I gained valuable experience in the LNG industry, working on methane emissions analysis during LNG loading, unloading, storage, and regasification processes. My work included optimizing energy efficiency and minimizing environmental impacts through innovative strategies. This hands-on expertise has shaped my vision of contributing to the global transition toward cleaner energy systems.
Currently, I’m honing my technical and leadership skills through the MEL program, which bridges engineering and business. I’m particularly interested in applying my knowledge to consulting roles, where I can help organizations navigate the complexities of energy transformation, decarbonization, and resource optimization.
Outside of academics and work, I enjoy exploring the vibrant culture of Vancouver, listening to music, and staying curious about cutting-edge innovations in clean technology.
Let’s connect and collaborate toward a more sustainable future!
