Google, Apple and Facebook Invasion

Companies such as Google, Apple and Facebook have been accused of invading the personal lives of users on a level that is not tolerable. Being able to download people’s address books and invading their privacy is crossing the line. Users of Facebook, Google and Apple should have a certain area where they can play without the head’s of companies looking at what they are doing. These businesses must follow guidelines to maintain valuable ethics that have allowed them to become as successful as they are today. With Apple’s iCloud, one can save all their documents in the ‘cloud’ without having to store any data on their computer. But where does this go? Obviously someone else has access to them and it is up to Apple to hold strong on ethics to preserve user’s personal security and ensure that these documents are for their eyes only. With Google and their emailing application, Gmail, all emails go through a server and can be accessed by administrators. If they decide to go into one’s profile and look through all emails sent and received all types of information can be found. Some include: banking info, passwords to other services, and events being attended. With every application used, one must realize that their privacy is in the hands of head administrators. However, these top people must follow a certain level of moral and business ethics to keep costumers coming back.
