Every spring, the Teacher Education Office contacts all school administrations in the Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley to provide information about the upcoming practicum session.  Administrators are requested to canvas their staffs for all those interested in mentoring a UBC teacher candidate.

Teachers are encouraged to speak with their school administrators about their interest. School administrators are asked to complete the expression of interest form which they will receive from the Practicum Manager via email in early spring.  Please note that as we typically receive many more names than we can accommodate, inclusion on the expression of interest form does not guarantee that we will be able to place a teacher candidate with every staff member.

A faculty representative will be in contact with school administrators early in the school year to inquire if any changes need to be made to the list of names submitted in the spring; confirmation of all placements will be made with schools later in the fall.
