Ever wondered how much money you can make by kissing the ground? Yeah same here.. its pretty much me at 2 am every Saturday morning, but I don’t get paid….
Sports these days are pretty much a bunch billionaires kicking balls or throwing balls or slamming balls, damn balls making money. But lets put that aside, and go to people watching balls. Ernst & Young did an analysis on Rugby and noticed that the UK makes about $3.34 billion on the Rugby world cup.
Just by looking at this we can see a market in whole, and how it all develops. $3.34 billion just doesn’t go into the pockets of some people, but goes into the country as this money is used to develop industry of the country. This can be taken on a macro-economic market development which enables companies to market on this.
This improves the market for sports in the internationally according to Ernst & Young, developing revenue for products realted to rugby and promotes several other attractions to do with rugby and the country. Just like the super bowl companies can use this as a marketing platform and make millions as they spend millions.
In the end as the people kiss the ground and play with balls we enjoy and end up buying a new sports jersey.
