I am very excited to have this platform to share my research. I hope to build an archive of fun and exciting facts and photos on my current research and interest areas. This photo was taken on the Beaver River in southern Ontario in August 2019. My love for science and my sense of adventure were bolstered by my dad, William Deenik, pictured here. I am very grateful for his patient teachings as he is the emblem of deep work, able to dive into a subject with the thoroughness and attention needed to gain utter comprehension. A rarity in the hustle and bustle of this day and age. I can only hope to achieve such masterful focus.
