Biofortified Cassava Is Set to Transform the Health of Millions

Welsh, S. (2016, October 31). Lesson Plan: Data Collection and Database Rhetorics. https://www.dwrl.utexas.edu/2016/10/31/database-rhetorics/

This lesson plan outlines ways to teach students about data collection and visualization, and how the public uses and interprets that information.  The suggested programs to use for data visualization are: Wordle, Datawrapper, Raw, and Google Forms.  The assignment suggested in this lesson plan incorporates the skills acquired through the lesson(s), and provides students with the opportunity to develop their own surveys, analyze their data, and create a way to visualize the information gathered using technology – designing their visualization in a strategic way.

A great site to show data visualization to students for inspiration on their own ADST project, as well as expose them to some positive global statistics, is: https://informationisbeautiful.net/beautifulnews/q/topic:quality-of-life/
