Meet the SSA Team for 2015/2016!

We hope everyone is having a pleasant May so far! We here at the SSA have been quite busy this month as we have had to do a little bit of rearranging, but we’re excited to share what we’ve been up to.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, our previously elected Vice President, Marianne Wu, has chosen to pass on her position to fellow SSA executive Anupa (Iman) Ghosh, initially elected as the AUS Representative. Following this, we have had to hold a by-election to determine our new AUS Representative.

As a result, we are very happy to announce that Elizer Erpilla will be taking on the role of AUS Representative for the SSA!

Additionally, we would also like to welcome Vesna Pajović and returning editor Selenna Ho as Co-Editors-In-Chief this year for Sojourners, UBC’s very own academic undergraduate journal for Sociology.

Big congrats to the entire SSA and Sojourners team:

Co-Presidents: Cecilia Federizon and Emily Chan
Vice President: Iman Ghosh
AUS Representative: Elizer Erpilla
Treasurer: Tiffany Eng
Secretary: Kaitlyn Fung
Media Specialists: Grace Lichtenwald and Sasha Lintern-Smith
Logistics Coordinator: Alita Johnson-Owl
Co-Editors-In-Chief, Sojourners: Selenna Ho and Vesna Pajović

You can get to know us better by taking a look at our biographies, located here at our “Who We Are” page. We look forward to having a great new year with all of you!
