Floating Dung Balls of Death

This is not going to be nearly as interesting as you think.

Wandering down the Sliema waterfront, we found a small, muddy, kelpy beach that sort of resembles a Roman amphitheater:

Fiona and I neglected to mention the eels, so Anna waded in:

When nothing ate her, we joined her. We found all these mysterious floating balls in the water:

The picture isn’t very clear, but neither was the real thing. We still have no clue what these were. They sort of resembled wood fiber or moss, but they were perfectly spherical.

Then Fiona saw a jellyfish and we got out in a hurry.
