Our Team

Jessica Toone is a second year civil engineering student from Vancouver. She is interested in structural engineering. Beyond engineering she enjoys sailing, music and being outdoor. She looks forward to coming up with an innovative solution for the problem presented to the team by UBC SEEDS.

Grace Kim is in second year civil engineering at UBC and she is interested in structural engineering. She is from Seoul, city of South Korea. During her free time, she likes to watch movies, listen to music, and she loves to eat. She is really excited to start this project with her group and she hopes she contributes another aspects of ideas to the team.

Jason Morden is in second year civil engineering at UBC. He is originally from Calgary and enjoys living in Vancouver very much. He is interested in engineering materials related to civil works. His non-engineering interests include rock climbing, music, skateboarding, and juggling.

George Hill, as with his teammates, is also in his second year of civil engineering at UBC. He is an avid athlete and works part time as a swim coach for the Canadian Dolphins Swim Club. His passion for engineering stems from design and critical thinking. He is very interested in transportation engineering and has volunteered with multiple municipal and regional councils to help bring forward youth perspective on transportation issues. George strives to bring fresh and innovative ideas that can contribute to the well being and betterment of our society.

Yibo He is a second year engineering student living in Surrey. He is originally from China. He enjoys structure designing and theoretical analysis, also he is interested in chemistry and materials. Outside of work and study, he likes playing basketball and billiard.

Andrew Zhao is a second year Civil Engineering student from Richmond BC. He is interested in structural engineering and transportation engineering. In his spare time, he likes to play basketball, watch movies and tv series. He is looking forward to participate in the CBEL project and get involved in the community.
