ASSIGNMENT #1:
Students will informally present in pairs the following information about the specific micronutrient they picked out of the hat in class.
1. Health Significance (Please see Ch3/Ch4 of WHO guidelines) : prevalence, risk factors, health consequence of intervention
2. Details of Fortificants (Please see Ch5/Ch6 of WHO guidelines) : choice of fortificant (different chemical forms) and examples.
3. Provide a handout with key points of your presentation (1 page per pair of students) and, provide at least 1 reading from a reliable source.
4. Name at least 2 organizations that are addressing your nutrient deficiency (brief please).
