Declines in pinyon pine cone production associated with regional warming

Redmond, Miranda D., Frank Forcella, and Nichole N. Barger (2012) Ecosphere. Pinus edulis is making fewer cones as it gets hotter. The populations most affected are the ones we might expect to fare the best – those at higher elevations.
