About DIBS
DIBS is a behavioural research and policy solutions initiative working toward an environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable future by improving our understanding of decision-making and encouraging behaviour change. The postdoc position will focus on research at the intersection of behavioural science, business, and climate change. Specifically, the DIBS cluster is working to develop high-impact, scalable, behaviourally-informed interventions that encourage behaviour changes that reduce carbon and other greenhouse gas emissions. Research projects will include field studies in one or more of the following areas: food (e.g., shifting to plant-forward meals and reducing food waste), transportation (e.g., shifting to shared mobility and active transportation), and circular economy behaviours (e.g., shifting to repairing, reusing, sharing, and recycling).
About the postdoc position
While making progress toward publication of their current work, the postdoc will be expected to collaborate with DIBS faculty to conduct new research projects, assist in writing grants, and oversee grant-driven research and knowledge mobilization. To be eligible, candidates must complete their PhD before July 2025. The strongest candidates will be behavioural or social science researchers with (1) PhDs in psychology, marketing, or economics; (2) expertise in quantitative methods, field studies, and statistical analysis using R or SPSS, and (3) research interests that align closely with those of DIBS faculty.
In additional to salary and benefits, the postdoc will receive an annual allowance for research and conference‐related travel and expenses. During the period of the fellowship, fellows are expected to be in residence, work with faculty on research projects, and participate in research seminars and similar activities at the school. Teaching is not required for this position; if classes are available, a postdoc may teach for extra pay.
