This section aims to provide guidance and reference regarding ways of working in the MBAN industry project.
The industry project of the MBAN provides a very different environment to the taught courses, and therefore requires a very different approach in order to be successful. The taught part of the course is very much an independently driven activity for which the student has sole responsibility and accountability. In contrast, the industry project requires a very much more collaborative approach with significant teamwork and communication requirements, with responsibility and accountability being shared across a team. There is also the need for any work conducted to be accessible and understandable to all members of the team, both during the project and in the future. This need for collaboration, teamwork, communication, and knowledge transfer requires that a more structured, standardized and transparent approach is taken during the industry project. This section aims to assist in easing the transition and to set expectations from the offset.
