In collaboration with Apocalypse Films and the Vancity Theatre, we are pleased to kick off our conference with a screening of a new adaptation of Crime and Punishment (2015), directed by Andrew O’Keefe.

The screening will take place at Vancity Theatre (1181 Seymour Street, Vancouver) at 7:30pm on Thursday, October 20, 2016. The film will be introduced by Alexander Burry, author of Multi-Mediated Dostoevsky (2011), and will be followed by a Q&A and discussion with Andrew O’Keefe and a reception.

The event is open to the public and tickets are available from the Vancity Theatre website.

During the conference, Andrew O’Keefe will also present a paper about his experience adapting Dostoevsky’s novel for the screen. You can see the complete conference program here.
