UBC O ceremonyOn Friday, November 7th in the UBC O courtyard we held this year’s Remembrance Day Service.

I remember when I was a child, we always had Remembrance Day Service at school. At that time, I never really understood or had any emotional attachment to this day. However, since my husband became an RCMP Officer a year and a half ago, this day became so much more significant to me personally.

It was a spectacular sight to see so many faculty, staff, students and members of the UBC O community attending this special service to pay respect to those who had protected the peace of our country. I’m also very thankful that there continues to be so many Peace Officers to keep our city and our country safe. As Remembrance Day is approaching, I pour out my prayers and blessings to all those people and their families.
