Hello from UAE
Hello Everyone,
My name is Mehdia Lodhi. I am from Toronto Ontario. Currently I am working and residing in Abu Dhabi UAE. I am working for an international American School for past 2 years, where I have been a home room teacher for grade 4. In my school technology is one of the most important components of teaching and learning. I extensively use chrome books in my class for various projects and activities. I use google class room for reading and writing responses. Majority of the students are ELLs, so I assign them reading task on Google classroom, for which I have seen great improvement in their reading levels. Moreover, I have heard many positive response and feedback from parents. These days I am working on digital year book for my school.
This picture was taken by husband in the middle of the desert. It has a great significance and a deep meaning for me as I think that the road to learning is long but focus and determination is the key.
This is my 6th MET course and I am really looking forward to learn new things from this course that will help in my new role as a literacy mentor in next academic year. Good Luck !!! Mehdia

That is quite the image! It has a feel of isolation but that will not be part of this course for sure. We are in this together and together we shall share our experiences and learn.
So what is actually at the end of that road? Ice cream maybe?
