During my Bachelor of Education studies, I enrolled in an outdoor education class that focused on experiential pedagogy. Those two weeks provided me with an eye opening experience as to just how lucky we as educators are in British Columbia to have as many beautiful outdoor locations available to us as we do.
We can however get caught up in the logistical plan and the potential cost of providing our students with outdoor experiences. My goal is to help provide examples of trips to help cater to those educators who share the same philosophy towards outdoor education as I do.
The University of British Columbia currently offers a diploma in Outdoor Education and is preparing a masters program in Outdoor Education.
