Graduate (M.Sc. Speech-Language Pathology)
Linda Wu is a first-year graduate student in Speech-Language Pathology. She is interested in research on the biomechanics of spoken and signed languages as well as the usage of machine learning methods in exploring connections between acoustical/articulatory information and cognitive states. She has worked on projects investigating the acoustic state detection of Alzheimer’s speech, velum posture in natural communication, and the resolution of opposing labial muscle activations in smiled speech.
