PhD Candidate (Linguistics)
Megan is a PhD candidate working with Dr. Bryan Gick in the Interdisciplinary Speech Research Lab. She focuses primarily on how and when perceivers integrate speech information from different sensory modalities (audition, vision, and somatosensation) and what this tells us about speech perception and language. She has also become interested in how these processes change when communication occurs with a non-human interlocutor in Virtual and Augmented Reality. She is also interested in speech production and the interface between prosody and semantics/pragmatics.
