Nicole Ebbutt

Undergraduate (B.A. Speech Sciences)

Nicole is a fourth year Speech Science student, minoring in Applied Animal Biology. Her research interests include joint attention and Autism, and the benefits of service animal use in speech and occupational therapy. Currently, she is working on projects involving the creation of state-detection models for Alzheimer’s Disease and studying language use when interacting with virtual assistants. Beyond classes, she’s involved in a wide variety of clubs as well as volunteer and work placements relating to linguistics, animal welfare, and public health. When not studying, working, or spending time with her two dogs, she enjoys karaoke, crafts, board games, and bubble tea!
