Finale – “Sexiest Marketing Team Ever. Bam.”

As I reflect on this term, I realized I didn’t slack off thanks to two courses that required assignments throughout the term. I learned my strengths and weaknesses as a member of the team as well as the types of people I work well with – and not so well with.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with my marketing team members, Tiffany, Harpal, Jaime, and Kellyanne. For the first few assignments, I think it was the stage where we were figuring out each other’s working styles and learned to cope with things that we differed in. While discussing and inputting our shares of opinions and ideas, we noticed and emphasized the strengths of each member since we shared a common goal: completing the assignments with the best of all our abilities.

When the time came to create our video, we had a great time! Our first step was to meet outside of school, appreciating the warm weather in Vancouver. We first met to brainstorm our ideas, and it was hard to be productive as we had a big gap between the current project and the previous. Then, we met at Caffe Artigiano (our chosen company). The actual environment within the cafe enabled us to plan a better video.

We got excited, going back to our elementary school years and started drawing and colouring for our video props. It was also a time to get to know more about each other and enjoy the cup of coffee and latte :). The filming and editing stage was very entertaining as well ^-^. And I enjoyed our relatively diverse group (which requires luck in Sauder!) We fed each other with our different perspectives and it was an enjoyable experience!

Greatest challenge? Schedule conflicts and sometimes not so productive members… 😛 But it all worked out!!!!
