Notes on Co-op:

  • Co-op adds one (1) year to the length of your degree
  • Application Deadline this year for next year: Thursday, October 7, 2021
  • A Co-op work term does not replace, or add academic course credits for that term
  • Once you are approved for co-op, you apply for jobs online through SCOPE (online job portal) OR you can find your own relevant job and get it approved by your Coordinator
  • UBC Co-op fees

Notes on Minors:

  • Completion of the Minor will usually require an additional period of study beyond four years.
  • Minimum of 18 upper-level credits related to your minor (6 of these credits may overlap with credits for your major)
  • Students should design a coherent and academically sound course of studies for their Minor, which must be submitted at the time of application
  • Commerce and kinesiology are competitive minors

Notes on Honours:

  • Must complete a minimum of 132 credits rather than the 123 credits required to graduate with a Sustainable Agriculture and Environment degree.
  • There are grade requirements to remain in the honours stream
