A bit about me

I can remember a specific moment in French class in grade 9 when I was helping another student and my teacher, quite frustrated with me, asked me to sit down and do my own work.  As long as I can remember I have enjoyed facilitating others learning.  As a camp counselor, I was never satisfied just taking care of campers, I always wanted to make sure they learned something during their time at camp.  As a Youth Pastor, I discovered a true passion to find ways that engaged learners and helped them experience the joy of learning.  Whatever I was teaching, I enjoyed the role of teacher no matter what the content.

Now, as a father of four young children, I am amazed at the natural wonder in the eyes of my children and I aim to find that in each of my students.  We are all naturally inquisitive, but we can lose that nature when learning becomes a chore instead of a joy.  As a world travelled, I appreciate different perspectives and how important it is to look at topics from different views.  In the end, we are all learners and teachers, we can not change that fact.  What we can change is how much effort and passion we put in to each role
